11/11/2015: back in France, I am now visiting Delphine, Maxime and their children who live in Le Havre, in Normandy region. They offered me to go to Etretat for the day, a few kilometres away from Le Havre. After having a delicious lunch in a restaurant with a panoramic view on the beach, we had a nice walk on the shore and could enjoy the amazing geological chalk formations. I really liked seeing those cliffs with those famous arches and the needle (L’aiguille), 70 meters high, which is supposed to be hiding a fabulous treasure according to a famous novel of Maurice Leblanc, starring Arsene Lupin. Some other noticeable formation is known as “the Elephant”, for its shape, so have a look at the pictures and use your imagination!
11/11/2015: de retour en France, je vais rendre visite à Delphine, Maxime et leurs enfants en Normandie, au Havre. Ils m’ont proposé de passer la journée à Etretat, à quelques kilomètres du Havre. Après un délicieux déjeuner dans un restaurant avec vue panoramique sur la plage nous avons fait une belle balade au bord de l’eau, d’où nous avons pu observer de superbes formations géologiques. J’ai beaucoup aimé ces falaises avec leurs fameuses arches et l’Aiguille qui culmine à 70 mètres (et renfermerait un fabuleux trésor d’après le roman de Maurice Leblanc mettant en scène Arsène Lupin). Une autre formation remarquable est «l’Eléphant», surnommée ainsi pour sa forme, alors jetez un œil aux photos et faites marcher votre imagination!
